Crazed man Kelly Marucci Waves Palestinian Flag at 9:11 on 9/11/2026 at Yankee Stadium… Did he get charged?

Kelly Marcucci is 38 years old. He lives in Bay Shore, Long Island. On Friday night he jumped the wall at Yankee Stadium, waved a Palestinian flag in the outfield, and did it when the clock hit 9:11 on the 25th anniversary of September 11. That is not a misunderstanding. That is a man who picked the minute.

New York had just sat through a memorial. Families who lost fathers in the towers threw the first pitch. The park played the tape. Nearly 3,000 people died in this city and this country on that date. Marcucci decided the correct response was a sprint across the grass with someone else’s flag and a clock gag.

The stunt

Top of the seventh. Subway Series. Yankees up 5–2 on the Mets. Bases loaded. Francisco Lindor at the plate. Full count. Two outs. Biggest pitch of the inning.

Marcucci came out of the left-field seats and ran toward center. Security chased him. They tackled him on the outfield grass. Fans over the Mets bullpen threw beer cans. The building chanted USA. He kicked at the people carrying him off. Play stopped. Lindor lined out when it started again. Yankees won 6–4. The game was not the point. The minute was the point.

He wore a “No Kings” jersey with K. Marcucci on the back. Before first pitch he posted a Facebook screed about capitalism, Zionism, Saudi Arabia, 9/11, Donald Trump, and Joe Rogan. He has called himself a revisionist-Marxist. Believe whatever you want in your house. Do not turn a memorial night in the Bronx into your personal commercial.

What the law already says

NYPD charged him with interfering with a professional sporting event — a misdemeanor — and trespass. They gave him a desk appearance ticket and sent him home. No prior arrests reported. The Yankees and Mets said nothing. That is the current ledger. It is too light for what he did to the room.

Field crashers are not martyrs. They are people who steal a live event from paying customers and force cops to chase them in front of 47,000 people. Do it on a random Tuesday and you are a drunk. Do it at 9:11 p.m. on 9/11 in New York and you are telling every family in that building that their dead are a prop.

Hold him accountable

Accountable does not mean a mob. It means the charges stick. It means the court date is real. It means MLB and the Yankees ban him from the ballpark instead of pretending silence is dignity. It means he does not get to recast a trespass as moral witness.

You want to argue Gaza, argue Gaza. Buy a permit. Stand on a sidewalk. Write a letter. You do not get to stop Francisco Lindor with a flag because the clock matched a massacre. That is not speech. That is theater at the expense of a city that already paid once.

Marcucci wanted the cameras. He got them. He also got beer cans, a chant he did not like, and a ticket to explain himself in front of a judge. Good. Make him show up. Make the ban stick. Do not let “protest” launder a man who used September 11 as a punchline and a baseball field as a stage.

New York already knows what 9:11 means. He does not get to redefine it for likes.
